Ficus carica, or the Fig Prolific
...as it is commonly known, is a deciduous shrub that produces some of the best, sweetest tasting figs on the market. A medium shrub, growing up to 1.5m in size, they produce lobed leaves and small flowers from the beginning of spring, followed by edible fruit in summer.
If kept rootbound and contained in a tub or pot will always remain compact and dwarf.
