Wild Foxglove | Digitalis purpurea | Wildflower
£2.95Price
A tall plant with distinctive bell-shaped flowers, foxgloves are easily recognisable and a familiar sight across the whole of the UK. Foxgloves favour habitats with lime-poor soils, especially where ground has been cleared or burned, and are common in deciduous woodlands, scrub and heathlands.
Flowering Time: Late May to September
Plant Height: 100 - 150cm
Foxgloves do better in well-drained/light, clay/heavy, acidic, moist soils. Foxgloves are mildly poisonous, and consideration needs to be taken on where to plant.
